In a pivotal YSCC matchup, No. 2 Central Maine Community College dismantled No. 5 New Hampshire Technical Institute, 82-47, in women's basketball action Wednesday night.
The Mustangs held the Lynx scoreless for the first eight minutes of the game, using pressure defense to force multiple turnovers and transition layups.
Four CMCC players scored in double figures and 11 of 13 of them found the scoring column.
Freshman Maggie McConkey paced the Mustangs with 15 points and eight rebounds. Maggie Sabine had another double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Susie French finished with 14 points and four steals, and Nohemy Aguila chipped in with 10 points.
Ariel McConkey played an outstanding floor game, tallying six points, seven rebounds and assists.
With the win the CM improves to 15-3 on the year and remains undefeated in YSCC action. The Lady Mustangs host Bristol Community College on Friday night in a non-conference matchup.
