The Lady Mustangs ripped the Rams of Dalhousie University last night to open up their 2012-13 regular season, with a final score of 77-8. Dalhousie got on the board first with a layup, which was then followed up by a 27-0 run by CM.
The defensive pressure and overall depth of the Lady Mustangs wore down the Lady Rams time and time again, leading to 47 Dalhousie turnovers. CM registered 29 steals, and racked a 54-37 rebounding advantage.
Leading the way offensively for the Lady Mustangs was Danielle McCusker, who shot 8-10 from the floor and score 17 points in just 18-minutes of action. Greenland, NH native Susie French scores 14 points had 5 steals and 6 rebounds. Freshman, Corrie Kinder, scored 13 points and dished out 4 assists.
The Lady Mustangs take on the University of New Brunswick-St. John on Sunday in the 2nd game of the Can-Am Tournament.
