Drew Lupardo enters his first season as head coach of the CMCC women’s ice hockey team in 2025-26.

Lupardo comes to Central Maine Community College after working as an assistant coach for fellow IWCHL Adirondack North division side Bates College. He also spent a year as coach of the Maine Gladiators 16U Girls hockey team. Lupardo got into coaching as a teenager, working with his younger brother’s teams and coaching Edward Little lacrosse at 19 in 2017.

An Auburn, ME native, Lupardo graduated from Edward Little High School where he played for three seasons on the Red Eddies hockey team, earning Class A 2nd-Team All-Conference honors. He played junior hockey for two seasons, starting with the Lefroy Wave of the GMHL in Barre, Ontario. He tallied 21 points in 39 games for the Wave in 2012-13 before returning to Maine for his final two seasons of junior hockey. He joined up with the Maine Wild in Biddeford, ME playing in the Northern States Hockey League (NSHL) before the franchise moved to the NA3HL in 2014-15, captaining the squad his final year.

He currently lives in Auburn with his wife, Sarah, and their son and daughter. Away from the rink, he and his wife run and coach the Inside Corner Softball girls club organization.
