CMCC 93 - UMaine at Augusta 59
The Lady Mustangs dismantled the Moose of UMA from the opening tip, jumping out to a big lead and never looking back. CM was paced by Susie French's dominant overall performance. French dropped in 27 points, recorded 7 steals, and constantly hounded the UMA ball handlers. French headed the CMCC transition attack and pressure defense. Maggie Sabine dominated the paint scoring 14 points and hauling in a staggering 18 rebounds. Danielle McCusker scored 13 points, and Corrina Kinder and Maggie McConkey contributed 12 & 11 points respectively.
The Lady Mustangs scored on their first possession of the game, and only allowed one tie in the first few minutes of the game. CM held a halftime lead of 52-32 and out scored the Moose by 14 in the 2nd half. With the win the Lady Mustangs improve to 2-0 in Yankee Conference action and 5-2 overall. CM is back in action on Friday night, November 16th when they host the College of St. Joseph's (Rutland, VT) at 6:00pm.
