Portland, ME - In a back and forth game with many chances in overtime, the final score would end up being 3-3. The Mustangs had a strong start and got goals from Tim van Tuinen assisted by Crewz Berry shorthanded. Charles Campagna was able to add the 2nd goal from the Mustangs after a nice feed from Tim Van Tuinen.
During the 2nd period after St. Joes had tied it up, Crewz Berry was able to find a shorthanded breakaway and sneak it past the goaltender for a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately, the Mustangs would not hold on to the lead in the 3rd period and the game would require overtime. The best chance of overtime would come on an Anthonin Picard breakaway, but the St. Joes goaltender made a incredible save to keep it all squared.
"Very proud of the fight in this team. Unfortunately we didn't reward ourselves with more goals,'' said Coach Knoren.
