Mustangs Lose Tough One on the Road 1-0

Concord, NH - Central Maine Community College suffered their second in conference loss at home against undefeated New Hampshire Technical Institute. The game was scoreless until midway through the second half when a NHTI attacker broke in on Mustang goalkeeper Jon Ross Caron and scored the only goal of the match. NHTI applied a lot of pressure throughout the match but the Mustang defense held strong. With moments left in the game Central Maine had a great opportunity and the ball ended up in NHTI's goal but the goal was disallowed because of a handball. Jon Ross Caron played very well compiling many important saves. Hilowle Aden played exceptionally well in the midfield for the mustangs before leaving the game with an injury. Abdikadir Ahmed worked hard providing several key passes for CMCC's attack. The entire CM defense really stepped up. Jeff Wierzbicki, Nate Lavoie, Erik Waite and Brian Kearns held NHTI (who is  undefeated and ranked number one in the Yankee Small College Conference men's soccer standings) scoreless for 65 minutes.
