Auburn, ME - The 2009 CMCC Men's Soccer Team started the season off at home against Briarcliffe College from New York. Briarcliffe is the defending USCAA National Champions.  Briarcliffe established themselves as the better team and led the game 3-0 before the Mustang's got on the score board. Yussuf Shinio scored just before half time bringing the score to 3-1. Central Maine had opportunities in the second half but Briarcliffe remained stronger and added three more to bring the final score 6-1. Devon Zamboni played well in goal for CMCC compiling 16 saves.
