Mustangs Notch Second Win of the Season

Auburn, ME The third game of the season was also the third home game in a row for Central Maine. They faced Eastern Maine Community College for the first of their two meetings this season. CMCC had nothing to show for dominating the first half with the score at halftime being tied at zero. The Mustangs had better success in the second half. Six minutes into the second half Shane Hurdle capitalized when Central Maine was awarded a penalty shot after an Eastern Maine hand ball. Shortly afterward Ahmed Mohamed scored on a breakaway after receiving a through ball from Hurdle. Hurdle factored into the third Central Maine goal as well by assisting Yussuf Shinio. Ahmed Mohamed scored his second goal of the match to close out the scoring after collecting a pass from Abdikadir Ahmed. The final score was 4-0 Central Maine. Jon Ross Caron made his debut in goal for the Mustangs earning 5 saves in the shutout. Brian Kearns played well defensively while Abdiweli Said controlled the midfield.
