EMCC Loses on Home Turf 7-1

Bangor, ME - The Mustang's traveled to Bangor and faced Eastern Maine Community College for the second time this season. Central Maine jumped out to a 1-0 lead three minutes into the game after Yussuf Shinio received a pass from Abdijabar Hersi. Shortly after, Eastern Maine scored a goal of their own and the game remained tied at 1-1 for about 20 minutes. Central Maine broke the tie with a repeat of their first goal, Shinio scored from a Hersi pass. Abdijabar Hersi scored ten minutes later on an impressive individual effort. Hersi scored again with two minutes left to play in the first half after gathering a pass from Ahmed Mohamed. At the half the Mustang's were ahead 4-1. CMCC scored quickly to open the second half when Shane Hurdle finished a pass from Osman Bashir. The game remained 5-1 for a majority of the second half. Ahmed Mohamed later scored from an Abdijabar Hersi cross and moments later Mohamed returned the favor providing Hersi with a pass and allowing Hersi to score his third goal of the match.
