Auburn ,ME - The CMCC Men's Soccer Team faced their first in conference opponent at home on Wednesday, 9/9/09. Unity College proved a worthy challenger. At 22:32 Abdinoor Hassan picked up a loose ball in the eighteen and fired it home to give the Mustang's a 1-0 lead. That score would hold through to half time. The second half saw numerous chances from both teams. At 83:40 Abdijabar Hersi gathered a pass from Shane Hurdle and scored to bring the lead to 2-0. With two seconds left in the game Unity was rewarded for all their hard work when they scored off a corner kick. Final score was 2-1 in favor of CMCC. Nathan Lavoie and Erik Waite played well defensively and Devon Zamboni tallied 4 saves in the win.
