We are pleased to announce Robbie Babb, a 6'2" forward from Dirigo High School, has committed to play for the Mustangs next year. Robbie brings excellent credentials to the college. He averaged 13 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists per game and was named to the Maine McDonald's All-Star Team. His Dirigo Cougars finished the regular season at 16-2 and lost in the Western Maine Class C Regional Semi-Finals. Robbie was a stellar player on the Golf and Baseball teams at Dirigo as well.
Most impressively, he is also member of the National Honor Society and earned honors his first three years at Dirigo and high honors this year.
According to Robbie. "I chose CM because the minute I walked through the door I felt at home and I decided almost on the spot that this is the school for me. It's a school that is almost exactly like my high school where everybody is close and acts like a family."
Coach Gonyea is very pleased with his new pick-up, "Robbie fills a much needed role for us. He is a big, strong guy who has played in a good program and knows how to win. His game approach and team attitude are two of the attributes that attracted me to him. I see him playing an important role in our program."
