Valley's Miller commits to CMCC

It is with great excitement that Central Maine Community College announces Carrington Miller of Bingham and valedictorian of the 2013 Valley High School class has committed to play at CMCC next year.  Carrington is a 6'3 guard who averaged 16.5 points a game, 5.8 rebounds per game and was a 1,000-point scorer in high school.  He also participated in varsity baseball, soccer and track.   He is involved in the student senate and is in the National Honor Society.  His basketball accolades include being recognized as a Western Maine Conference All-Star, a MBR all-star, and a Maine McDonalds All-Star.

In Carrington's words; "There were many different reasons why I picked CM.  For one, I have heard a lot of great things about how well they transfer kids out of CM.  I met a lot of people during my visit and they were all generous and willing to help me out.  My brother played at CM and I have heard nothing but good things from him about this college.  I think this will be a great fit for me.  I'm more than excited to be starting my college career at CM!"

According to Head Men's Basketball Coach Dave Gonyea, "We had a targeted list of 9 players when the year began, and Carrington was high on that list.  He has a huge upside and will develop into a major player for our program.  The goal is to prepare him for the next level because that's where he's going".
