Biddeford, ME -  After starting the season strong on Saturday night the Mustangs were tasked to take on UNE for the 1^st divisional game of the year and would end up winning the game 6-0.

Mustangs looked like they had heavy legs in the first 10 minutes and weren't able to get in a rhythm. "After the first 10 minutes we started finding our legs and it showed what we are capable of," said Coach Knoren.  After taking a small lead the Mustangs had some big penalty kills which created enormous momentum and they would be able to score a couple times after establishing the momentum.

"The penalty kill has been great the last couple of games, we have challenged our depth of guys to take on this important role and they have taken it with both hands," added Knoren. 

The Mustangs earned their first shut-out of the year after shutting UNE out the third period and only allowing 3 shots on net and playing a perfect 3^rd period.

The Mustangs will continue their road trip next week with 2 games in New Hampshire on Friday and Saturday.
