2024-25: As a freshman, team captain of the inaugural CMCC women’s ice hockey team... Recorded 21 goals and 13 assists while playing in all 12 games. Led the team in goals, points with 34, and shots with 141. Finished tied for second in +/- at +22... Scored the first goal in program history at 1:13 into the second period as part of a 5-4 overtime win at Stonehill College. Scored a season-high 5 goals against Wheaton College and St. Joseph's College. Put up 8 points in the 23-0 win at Wheaton. Had the game-winning overtime goal in a 3-2 victory vs rival Bates College. Tallied 4 hat tricks. Registered points in 10 of 12 games.
Prior to CMCC: Graduated from Leavitt Area High School. Played soccer and softball all four years for the Hornets… Played ice hockey all four years for the Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland Red Hornets co-op team. Reached the North Regional Final as a sophomore in 2022, losing to eventual state champions Lewiston. A team captain, had 13 goals and 4 assists in 12 games as a senior, including a hat trick in a win over Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Medomak Valley. Named 2nd-Team All-KVAC as a junior and senior and to the 2024 Lewiston Sun Journal All-Region Team. Represented her team at the 2024 Maine Girls Hockey Senior All-Star Game… Played travel hockey with the Maine Gladiators for eight years… On the soccer field, was a 1st-Team Class B South selection for Leavitt and team captain.
Personal: Parents are Mike and Kim Spugnardi. Has a brother, Jake.
What made you choose to attend CMCC? It’s close to my hometown and to play hockey.
