Croston Joins Men’s Soccer Coaching Staff

Auburn, ME – Central Maine Community College has a new Men's Soccer assistant coach, with Jeremy Croston joining the staff ahead of the 2025-26 campaign where the Mustangs will be defending USCAA national champions.

"We are thrilled to announce that Jeremy has joined our team as an assistant coach," said athletic director Dave Gonyea. "Jeremy's hiring is an exciting opportunity for our program, as landing someone with Jeremy's experience and level of ability for an assistant position is a rare gift. He has served as a head coach before, and I have no doubt he'll be back in that position again in no time. We're very fortunate he chose to come to Maine to work with our players."

Croston comes to Maine from Florida where he has been the varsity soccer coach and director of soccer operations for the Central Florida Prep School Mariners since 2021. At CFP, he guided the team to the 2025 FICAA Spring Super Cup Championship and finished as runners up for the 2024 FICAA State Championship. Croston was named "Coach of the Year" in both the fall 2024 and spring 2025 seasons.

His college playing career started with two seasons spent on the men's soccer team at York College of Pennsylvania before playing an additional two years for the intercollegiate club team at the University of Central Florida.

Coach Croston holds a US Soccer E License, a State Diploma through United Soccer Coaches, and a Master's Certification in Goalkeeper Coaching Sciences through the International Soccer Science and Performance Federation (ISSPF). He is also the author of two books about soccer, "The Goalkeeper's Bible" and its follow-up, "The Goalkeeper's Bible: Advanced Edition". Croston will be working under head coach Dalton Wing with fellow assistant Isidoro Domingues.

"I am so excited to be joining the men's soccer staff of the defending USCAA national champions," said Croston. "My hope is that my experience and passion for the game can help bring another one to CMCC this fall."

"Jeremy brings a wealth of coaching experience, deep knowledge of the game, and strong relationships within the athletic community," Gonyea added. "His presence will not only enhance our team's development but also positively impact our entire community."

Croston is moving to Maine from Orlando, FL with his wife, Stephanie, and their two sons, Charlie and Jak. Charlie will be a freshman this fall, competing on the CMCC men's soccer team.
