Worcester, MA – Providence, Rhode Island is about one hour south from Worcester. Auburn is about three hours north from Worcester. The closer Rodney Theodore (20 points, 4 rebounds) gets to his hometown of Providence, the better he plays! Theodore came off the bench at the fifteen-minute mark in the first half tonight and picked up the struggling, lackadaisical, Mustangs hitting for eight straight points to lead the Mustangs to a 74-61 win over Quinsigamond Community College.
Despite getting to the arena early and enjoying a solid pregame, the visitors didn't bring their "A" game until the last five minutes of the game. Leading at the half by 12 points, CM turned the ball over eight times in the second half to allow the Wyverns to get back into the game.
A Theodore three and two defensive stops launched the lead to ten points at the thirty-six minute mark left in the game to secure the victory. CM managed to limp back to Maine with a sloppy win.
The Mustangs entertain the College of St Joe's Sunday at 2pm in Kirk Hall.
