Two familiar friendly foes from north of the border, UNB Saint John and Champlain St. Lawrence, will once again take on the Mustangs. Below is information about the two opponents, including quutes from Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong.
Saturday, October 27th, 6:00pm
vs. UNB Saint John
- CMCC leads the series, 5-1
- Last meeting, 10/28/2017, CMCC 84 - UNB Saint John 63
- Only loss, 10/25/2014, CMCC 64 - UNB Saint John 67
Coach Morong on UNB Saint John, "I love opening each season with such a challenging game. Coach Munroe's teams are always very skilled, work extremely hard, and play with class. They return twelve players from last year's team, including four starters - which is certainly a luxury. We will need to out-execute and outwork a more veteran team to win this game. It is a tall task, but one we are really looking forward to."
Sunday, October 28th. 4:00pm
vs. Champlain St. Lawrence
- CMCC leads the series, 3-1
- Last meeting, 10/29/2017, CMCC 83 - Champlain St. Lawrence 27
- Only loss, 10/25/2015, CMCC 41 - Champlain St. Lawrence 46
Coach Morong on Champlain St. Lawrence, "Coach Robert is a talented coach that leads a very hard working program. With the exception of last year, there has rarely been much separation between our two teams. Regardless of what happens Saturday night against UNB Saint John, we will need to mvoe on from it quickly to be ready to take on, what I am sure will be, an intense challenge from the Lions.
