Men’s “B” Basketball Breezes Past Landmark, 93-67

Putney, VT – The Mustangs Men's "B" Basketball team picked up its third win of the season with a dominating 93-67 victory on the road against Landmark College at the Click Family Sports Center. Central Maine had five players score in double figures and knocked down 11 three-pointers to move back to the .500 mark with a 3-3 overall record.

Damon Beal led the way offensively for the Mustangs. The junior forward out of Beals Island, ME collected a double-double for the first time this campaign with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Joshua Mangus added 15, captain Kelson Custodio scored 14, Landon Kingsbury had 12 points off the bench, and newcomer to the team Ty Bernier added 10.

Kingsbury, a freshman from Woodsville, NH, also had a double-double with 10 rebounds of his own. Marckenzy Destin snagged nine boards of his own while also dealing out eight assists, one behind Custodio for the team high. CMCC shot 48.2% from the field on 41-for-85 shooting and finished with a total of 50 rebounds.

Central Maine next pays a visit to the Southern New Hampshire University PenMen, for their third game against a NCBBA club opponent this season. They return home in December for a stretch of four games in Auburn to end the first semester.
