Ryan Palmer was born and raised in Rumford, Maine. He is the son of Mark and Stephanie Palmer. Mark is a 2011 inductee of the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame.  He currently lives in Rumford with his girlfriend, Andrea and her two children.  Ryan also works at the Rumford Comminuty Center and for Gleason Radio Group.  Ryan is a 2000 graduate of Mountain Valley High School, where he played 4 years of varsity baseball. He was selected of the all conference team 3 of these years.  Following high school, Ryan attended CMCC where he played 2 years of baseball and made the all confence team in 2004.  Ryan was a member of the 2004 team that quilified for Nationals in Tampa, FL. Ryan was chosen as a member of the CMCC all-decade team (2000-2010).  Ryan brings to the team over 10 years of coaching experience at the high school level, (7 years as a head coach).

He was head coach at Mt. Abram for 4 years before taking his current role as head coach at Dirigo High School where he has been for the past 3 years.   

Ryan has been chosen 2-times as the Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year.  In 2012 and 2013 Ryan lead the Dirigo Varisity baseball team to back-to-back state championship titles.  Ryan states, "This is a great opportunity for me. I've always been known as a CM boy. CM has always felt like home to me. My goal is to get the baseball program back to the top where it once was."

Ryan will be coaching the fall baseball team at CM, and continuing his duties as the baseball coach at Dirigo High School in the spring.
