Samantha attended CMCC from 2016 – 2018 and played for the women’s basketball team. Since graduating in 2018, she spent three years as a lead teacher in an infant toddler room in Early head start. Currently, she is an Ed Tech and one-on-one in a preschool. She got married in 2019 and bought a house with her husband in 2021. They have since rescued two dogs, Gumbo and Pepper!

Basketball is what attracted Samantha to CMCC as Coach Andrew Morong scouted her and gave her an offer to play for him. She says it was a no brainer saying yes to that offer. Her biggest memory was being part of a fantastic team and winning the National Championship!

She says that Coach Morong had a huge impact on her during her time as a Mustang. Samantha admired his strive for greatness and ability to motivate his team. Coach Morong was a great support when times got tough and she will always be grateful for the respect Coach gave her when she had to leave the team to focus on school during her second season. Samantha also credits Eileen Stek as a huge support for her during her time at CM. Eileen offered so much extra help when she needed it and offered a place to hang out whenever Samantha was on campus.

Samantha says choosing CM was the best decision as she really enjoyed her time here. Her only regret was leaving the basketball team during her season season, but stands by that it was the best decision for her. After doing so, she made the President’s List twice. Proving that all of our athletes are students first. After leaving the team, she still had a family CM and that’s what she loved so much about being here. She got very close to people and was given a lot of support from staff and fellow students that made life at CM fairly easy. For all of those reasons, she will always be grateful and proud of have chosen CM for school. We are proud of you Samantha and thank you for showing the true meaning of being a student-athlete!
