Mustangs dominate Green Knights

AUBURN - Sara Matin matched her season-high 19 points and hit four treys as Central Maine Community College dominated Verrnont Tech 87-26 in a Yankee Small College Conference matchup on Sunday.
After giving up the first basket of the game, the Mustangs (2-2) went on a 22-0 run and led 50-8 at the break. The Green Knights (0-2) were undermanned and fell victim to early pressure by the Mustang defense.

Katie Martin drained 13 Vermont Tech defenders during Sunday's win. points for the Mustangs,  Danielle Hebert hit for 12 and freshman forward Lindsey Henderson
had a breakout game off the bench with 11 points. Kayla Ellis was strong on both ends of the court with nine points, seven assists and six steals.  Jaime Allard and Eliza Wakefield each scored nine points for Vermont Tech.
