CM Lady Mustangs travelled to take on the SMCC Lady Seawolves for their final regular season matchup. Game co-captains Laura Soohey and Nicena Walker set the tempo. Walker threw the entire game, striking out 7 Seawolves. The Lady Mustangs had the hot bat taking a 4-0 lead in the 2nd inning. SMCC made a run late in the game scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit as the Mustangs held on to win 12-9.
Leading CM was Soohey with her first collegiate home run going 3 for 4 on the day. Walker led the team with 3 RBIs, followed by Ashley Dorey and Rachel Caron each contributing 2. The team effort results in 7 individual players driving in runs.
The Lady Mustangs will travel to Bangor to take on the EMCC Golden Eagles in a doubleheader on Sunday, April 21.
