On Sunday CM Lady Mustangs took on Southern Maine Community College in South Portland for a pair of YSCC games. In the first contest, Brianna Darling took the mound for a complete game. Both teams got on the board in the 1st inning with 1 run each. SMCC built a 5-1 lead by the top of the 3rd inning. CM bats came alive scoring 3 to pull with 1 run after 3 innings. Both team added a few runs, but CM could not close the deficit falling 10-6. Ashley Dorey was credited with 2 runs batted in. Darling struck out 5 Seawolves in the loss
Nicena Walker threw the ball for Game 2 of the doubleheader. SMCC jumped out with 3 runs in the bottom of the first inning. CM bats were active, but the Seawolve's defense kept CM from crossing the plate. The game went to the 5th inning when SMCC tallied 3 more runs bringing the score 10-0. Walker threw the complete game striking out 7 Seawolves. With a pair of losses, the Lady Msutangs fall to 0-3 on the year.
