CMCC Lady Mustangs hit the road to compete in the 2013 Yankee Conference softball tournament. CM started game 1 against host NHTI Lady Lynx in the semi-finals.
Nicena Walker threw the complete game, striking out 6. CM jumped out to a 4-0 lead heading into the bottom of the 5th inning. The Lady Lynx fought back with 4 quick runs to tie the game at the end of 5. CM earned one more run across the plate in the 6th when Walker stole home with a passed ball. Walker's efforts proved to be the game winner as she shut NHTI to end the game. CM advanced to the finals with the 5-4 victory. Ariel McConkey, Ashley Dorey, & Dani Wadsworth each drove in a CM RBI.
The Lady Mustangs advanced to take on Southern Maine Community College in the Yankee Conference Championship.
