Paul Smith, NY - Falling behind early and playing catch-up for the first half, the Mustangs managed to find some spark in the last four minutes of the game to squeak by the Paul Smith Bobcats Monday by a 79-73 OT margin. A seven-hour drive didn't help the visitors but a hot shooting Bobcat squad brought the Mustangs back to life. Paul Smith shot an unbelievable 68% from the floor and contained the running Mustangs most of the game. An Akeem Laurie three at the three minute mark left in the game gave CM a two point lead. Paul Smith came roaring back with a driving layup of their own to tie the game with 1.7 ticks on the clock to force overtime.
The Mustangs took control in overtime and went on a 12-6 run to finish out the game. Akeem Laurie led CM with 17 points; Josh Chery added 15 points and Cody Tozier chipped in with 16 points. Tozier also hit some key free throws down the stretch for the visitors. CM leaves New York with a 12-2 record for the season.
